Alan won over 60 Professional Golf titles including: – 1962 French Open, 1961 Australian PGA Championship and 3 Rolex Masters; Alan was formerly Head Professional at Singapore Island Country Club from 1972 to 1980 and has been coaching golfers of all abilities including many professionals full time since 1967.
In 1973, Alan Co-Founded the Singapore Professional Golfers Association and was made the only Life Member in 1980 and also made a Life Member of the Australian PGA in 2005.
Later in 1998 Alan’s son Matthew Murray joined Champions Golf to expand the company into other areas of golf such as club & range management and golf events. Since 1998 Champions has been involved with the management of golf ranges, academies and pro shops at various location’s including:- Temasek Club, Sembawang Country Club, Admiralty Club, Fairways Club of Palm Resort, Palm Resort Golf & Country Club, Turf City, PJ Palms, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.
In 2012 Singaporean Ms Cynthia Chan and British National, Charles Wilkins became Champions Golf partners.
In January 2013, Champions Golf was awarded the tender to manage and operate Green Fairways Golf Complex for six years; Since renamed Champions Golf Course, Champions Golf is exploring other possible venues in Singapore and overseas for expansion.
